The Company
Wexco Airfreight (UK) Limited, 100% owned by World Express (C.I.) Limited,
was created in 1979. The name Wexco derives from World
Express Company.
The holding company and Wexco were, and remain, the common effort of three
individuals, John Barnett (English), Don Champion (USA) and Varin
Pulsirivong (Thai).
Although the background of the three founders was in freight forwarding,
the company itself has never engaged in that branch of the transportation
industry. It was from its beginnings an Airline Cargo General Sales Agent.
The company is based in London at Heathrow Airport. It is a member of FAGSA
(Federation of General Sales Agents) and of EGSAC (European GSA Cargo). Both
organisations are dedicated to the promotion of Cargo GSA's throughout the world.
Wexco currently represents the cargo interests of eight airlines and
generates approximately GBP 9 million in cargo revenues for these partners.
